Marketing & Program Manager

Job Summary

To best understand the deliverables a customer is expecting to receive, a first-hand understanding of the “marketing promise” the customers bought into is critically important. Even better, when you have also set expectations, that first got them excited for the deliverable.

The ideal candidate has a strong background in both Marketing and Program Management.

And this role implicitly requires a passion for evangelizing what the customer values in a B2B & B2B2C context, from customer to developer to executive level. As well as managing brand promotion via social media, coupled with the ability to work with engineering and executive teams, to manage deliverables and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Owning and running market research programs, performing surveys & collecting data to justify and support our focus, and the direction of execution.
  • Work-with customer, engineering and executive teams to refine and manage the Plan Of Record (POR)
  • Write comprehensive Product Requirement Specifications, and Software Requirement Specifications as foundation of high-quality code, in secure payment applications.
  • Lead the Make A Plan (MAP) days, scope the work and prioritize requirements to best fit within engineering resources and time frame.
  • Drive the website, blog and product pages, to best reflect the company mission.
  • Work with B2B partners in the payment space, driving networking & conference event advertising/sponsorship/participation, to amplify our brands and engagement with CardWare.
  • Creating and manage B2B customer access, in the journey from NDA, to License Agreements, to Developer-Push, and Collaborative Demo engagements.
  • Be the Customer’s Voice internally, working with developer & executive teams to drive customer-facing aspects.
  • Work with the team to identify and resolve issues, and provide marketing/customer support as needed. Driving the recruiting and hiring where the team has critical gaps.

Required Skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently, as part of a team, as well as to help lead and grow the team.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Track record for Hiring and Managing the best, and turning good into outstanding performers.
  • Writing clear unambiguous Requirements Specifications, and working with Customers & Engineering teams to refine processes on the CMM path of maturity.
  • Experience in creating, reviewing and coordinating a Plan-Of-Record (POR)
  • Software Methodologies of : Waterfall, Agile, DevOps, DevSecOps. 
  • Managing defect sightings, and drive the resolution of issues within engineering deliverables, and software branches created to meet both the PRS/SRS.
  • An intimate understanding of Software & Product Development practices including Engineering Change Control.
  • Have an understanding of backend Server and Serverless architectures, data structures, security and compliance requirements including PCI DSS, CPOC, MPOC.
  • Understand SDK’s, with Deliverables including Documentation, Source Code and App Binaries, across iOS, Android, MacOS, Windows, and leading Browsers.
  • Good understanding of terms and best practices in data security, privacy, payment principles and practices.
  • To grow and manage your team, and imbuing them with CardWare’s core values, as we continue to scale.

Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in Program Management (e.g. PMP), with a focus on Software & Engineering deliverables.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Marketing, including Social Media, Video as well as modern Growth Hacking techniques.
  • Degree in Communication &/or Marketing. Eloquent and with strong skills in verbal and written story-telling.
  • Preference for additional degree equivalent experience, in related fields of Computer Science, Electrical Engineering.
  • Preference for experience in payment systems, for example Credit/Debit Card Payment Rails, ACH, Zelle, FedNow, CBDC, NFC/QR Mobile Payments … etc
